About Us

Since 2011, we have hosted curated tastings showcasing wines of all types and styles alongside pairings created by local culinary talent. With wine representatives from across our region, our society aims to share and explore what makes Ontario wine great.

The Ontario Wine Society is a not-for-profit organization run by and for wine enthusiasts. We offer engaging and fun new ways to discover and appreciate wines from home and around the globe.

Characteristics

The wine has a pleasant deep ruby red color. It has a refreshing, soft, balanced taste with smooth tannins and berry hints, continuing in a long aftertaste.

Production Of Our Wine

Harvesting

Grape harvesting is a responsible process. It must be approached with special trepidation. Our extensive experience allows us to choose the right time to harvest our grapes.

Grape Pomace

The pomace of grapes requires great attention to detail. The grape should never color the juice. We are very careful in maintaining a transparency and light color throughout the process of our wine production.

Fermentation

We use vats equipped with a cooling and heating system. This allows us to maintain the quality of the wort throughout the entire process of fermentation.

Lighting

The special lighting we use clear the grapes of any impurities. We believe the grapes we maintain must have great freshness, acidity, and cleanliness. The specific lighting also helps the grapes to maintain their aroma.

Aging and Bottling

We age wine in two ways - in barrels and in bottles. When it's ready for consumption, we deliver it to your table.
